Chasing biological clocks

Picture of mother, dad or couple holding their own baby in the arms is precious and is inexhaustible motive for the marketers and artists... Intention of these lines is not to degrade biological motherhood or family. But it points to the fact that in our society we perceive giving birth to own child as the only fully valued state of woman, man or biological family as the only "right" family.

Many women (and men, too) after reaching certain age experience frequent warnings from others, that their biological clocks are loudly ticking and they should do something about it and find a partner. They feel pressure from others but also within themselves and / or are being hurt by the comments behind their backs. Many of us have grown up with the rooted bias that childless woman, man or couple has little bit less of value than others in the society...

To give life to own child is certainly one of the most beautiful experiences of many women and men, but there are also women and men who do not have their own kids from different reasons...

Every woman, man or couple is equal, regardless if they have their own baby or not.

We all are equal, women and men who raise their own children, as well as those who raise adopted kids, as well as those who build family by adopting abandoned animals or those who decide to live in the community and help others in need....

Our ego limits family to group of biologically bonded people and we are not aware of much stronger glue that connects not only all humans but also all living, sentient beings ... and thus we are often witnessing how others for the sake of vanity of “their family" ignore or directly contribute to suffering of others  ...

PS: Desire to give birth to child and have family is natural part of our lives; we need to accept it and express it as well as the other accompanying emotions (accepting reality, as it is).

Otherwise, it will grow into obsession when the baby is becoming hostage of our own unresolved issues.

Obsession to have baby is reflected by stress in the body and thus becomes often cause of the fertility problems...
